In June 2012, CIC invited applications from colleges and universities that are members of the Pathways Project to participate in the next, and final, phase of the project in which institutions fulfill one or more of the objectives in their action plans, track the progress of the implementation, and share lessons learned. With funding from the Carnegie Corporation of New York, CIC awarded 13 institutions a grant of $7,000 each to help the institutions fulfill their final objectives during the 2012–2013 academic year.
These 13 institutions are: Alaska Pacific University, Bethel University (MN), Carlow University (PA). Charleston Southern University (SC), Dominican University (IL), Notre Dame of Maryland University, Trinity Christian College (IL), University of Charleston (WV), Augsburg College (MN), Bellarmine University (KY), Our Lady of the Lake University (TX), Saint Xavier University (IL), University of Bridgeport (CT).
The CIC report, Creating Pathways to Education and Economic Opportunity in Urban Colleges and Universities, presents the results of the implementation grants as well as the essential lessons learned from the Pathways Project.
