The Consortium for the Advancement of Private Higher Education (CAPHE)
offers funders assistance in three distinctive ways:
- Research And Information
CAPHE maintains comprehensive information on finances, curricula, faculty,
and student demographics and enrollment at some 1,500 private colleges
and universities. Information and analysis from CAPHE's database help
funders make decisions about grants and identify emerging trends in
private higher education.
- Idea Development And Program Design
CAPHE offers consultant services in the design of grant programs for
private colleges. To every assignment, we bring broad knowledge of higher
education, detailed understanding of college operations, a strong track
record in college reform, and grant-making expertise. Each program is
designed to support the funder's goals, administrative capacity, and
organizational culture.
- Program Administration And Management
CAPHE provides a full scope of administration services for funders'
programs, from identification of prospective participants to evaluation
of program outcomes. These processes include development of program
guidelines, review and selection of colleges for projects, expert assistance
to help colleges attain goals, and reporting and dissemination of project
outcomes. Tailored to specific needs, these services can help funders
target a subset of colleges, address a particular issue, and conduct
comprehensive programs in a cost-effective manner.
