When calling to make reservations, please indicate that you are with the Council of Independent Colleges Presidents Institute to receive the discounted conference rate. Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The reservation deadline is Friday, December 4, 2009. After this date, reservations cannot be guaranteed at the conference rate.
Located off the southwest coast of Florida on the largest of the Ten Thousand Islands, the Marco Island Marriott offers pristine white sand and shell beaches. This full-service property features guest rooms with private balconies, restaurants offering everything from poolside snacks to elegant dining, and recreation including golf, swimming, and a variety of beach activities. The Marriott recently completed a multimillion dollar renovation including enhancements to guest rooms and public areas and a new Italian Trattoria. Quinn’s Pool has been redesigned and transformed to a free-form fantasy pool with two jacuzzis and is now located closer to the beach for superb views of the Gulf of Mexico.

Travel Information
The Marco Island Marriott is located approximately 50 miles from Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers. Transportation to the hotel is available from a number of providers:
- Naples Transportation is offering a special institute rate of $48.00 per person one-way (plus 20 percent service charge) from January 2-9, 2010 between 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. for arrivals and 5:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. for departures. Additional transportation options are available outside the baggage claim area. Rates are approximately $90 one-way for up to three passengers plus an additional $10 for each additional passenger. Reservations are recommended at least 48 hours in advance. (Rates are as of July 2009.)

Dress Guidelines
Casual resort wear is appropriate throughout the Institute. Business attire is suggested only for the Awards Banquet on Wednesday, January 6. If you plan to participate in any of the tours, be sure to bring along a hat, sunscreen, and walking shoes.
Family and Guests
All daytime sessions during the Presidents Institute, including breakfast and lunch discussions, are restricted to registered attendees. Tickets may be purchased on-site for special guests and family members to participate in the opening night buffet. Tickets for the Awards Reception and Banquet may be ordered on the registration form.
