American History Seminar

 

The Council of Independent Colleges is pleased to announce a seminar for full-time faculty members in history and related fields on the Gilded Age to be led by Richard White, Margaret Byrne Professor of American History at Stanford University. The seminar, made possible through the generous support of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and cosponsored by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, will be held at Stanford University in California, July 14-19, 2013. 
 

 Current Status

 
​Up to 25 participants will be selected to participate. All full-time faculty members in history and related fields at CIC member institutions are eligible. Faculty members who wish to participate must be nominated by the chief academic officer of the nominee's institution.
 

 DATE AND LOCATION

 
The seminar will be held July 14-19, 2013 at Stanford University in Stanford, California.
 

 Costs

 
​There is no fee to participate. Lodging, meals, and seminar materials will be covered. Participants or their institutions will be expected to provide transportation to and from Stanford, however CIC will reimburse up to $200 in travel expenses following the seminar.
